Large Group

Large Group is where the whole room comes alive. It’s where we gather as one community to hear God’s Word taught, lift our voices in worship, and pray with the global church through IFES. These aren’t just meetings—they’re moments that shape us.

This year we’re diving into three powerful encounters in John 3–5: Nicodemus, the woman at the well, and the healing at Bethesda. These stories challenge us to move from curiosity to belief, from hiding to honesty, and from brokenness to new life.

Each night builds on the last:
• Sunday: John 3:1–21
• Monday: John 4:1–26
• Tuesday: Community Night
• Wednesday: John 4:27–42
• Thursday: John 5:1–15

Come ready. Expect God to meet you. Expect to leave different.

Teresa Rutt

I’ve been with InterVarsity for 17 years, and I love walking alongside students and staff as they wrestle with questions about faith, Scripture, and leadership. I work with students and national leaders of IFES movements around the world—most often in Eurasia—and I serve as the Director of Bible & Life globally.

I’m also a homeschool mom of two, a gravel and mountain bike racer, a recreational soccer player, and somehow the president of my village council. I hold a master’s degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and I studied communications and international studies as an undergrad. I speak Spanish and Russian, and I’m deeply passionate about helping people engage Scripture and grow as leaders.

I’ve survived hospitals in two different countries and have a habit of buying plants I don’t intend to care for (that’s my husband’s job). If I weren’t in ministry, I’d probably be leading backpacking trips or developing corporate leaders.

Gabriel Douglas

Hello! My name is Gabriel Douglas, and I’m so excited to be leading worship for Chapter Camp this year. I serve as a worship leader at a church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While I wasn’t personally involved with InterVarsity during college, my sister was deeply involved at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, and I’ve seen the impact of the ministry through her experience.

Outside of leading worship, I love exploring new restaurants around Milwaukee, writing and performing my own music, and catching a great movie. I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all and worshiping together this week!
